The site of a Cambridgeshire fire station and NHS clinic is on the market for £1.5 million. The plot of land in Ramsey Road, St Ives, is home to the St Ives Fire Station and Spinney Surgery, both of which are still running.However, Cheffins Residential is marketing the land for £1.5 million, with offers being accepted until May 27. It measures around 1.61 acres, which includes the two buildings, surrounding hard standing and open space. There is also a tower and several ancillary buildings at the back of the fire station.There is no current planning permission in place, but Cheffins says the “site offers potential for redevelopment”. An indicative scheme, that is included in the plot brochure, sets out plans for 30 proposed homes on the land.These include: eight two-bedded properties, seven three-bedded properties, three four-bedded properties and 12 affordable flats.
